PM Shehbaz to Meet Erdogan, Attend Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye Today

Antalya (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today and attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum as part of the third and final leg of his three-country visit, according to the PM Office.

In a statement posted on X, the PMO said the prime minister will take part in the leaders’ panel at the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The session is themed “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on global and regional issues.

The prime minister is also expected to hold meetings with other world leaders attending the forum and will participate in its opening ceremony.

PM Shehbaz arrived in Turkiye on Thursday after concluding engagements in Qatar, where he held talks with the Qatari leadership on regional developments, including efforts related to Middle East tensions.

During the broader tour, he first visited Saudi Arabia, where he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah. He then travelled to Qatar for discussions with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani before heading to Turkiye.

According to earlier statements from the Foreign Office, the visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar were part of bilateral engagements aimed at strengthening cooperation and discussing regional peace and security.

The trip comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region, where Pakistan has been actively encouraging diplomatic efforts to reduce conflict and support dialogue between the United States and Iran. These efforts contributed to a fragile ceasefire and the resumption of early-stage talks in Islamabad.
