Doha (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Monday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The premier is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other cabinet members and senior officials.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar and underscores their shared commitment to strengthening multifaceted cooperation.
During his stay in Doha, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold bilateral talks with Sheikh Tamim, covering the full spectrum of relations, including political engagement, economic collaboration, energy cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides are also expected to explore new avenues of partnership in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export.
Pakistan and Qatar share a longstanding relationship built on mutual trust and close coordination at regional and international forums.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on key regional and global developments and reaffirm their resolve to work together for peace, stability, and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz’s earlier visit to Doha was focused on attending an emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened in response to Israeli airstrikes on Qatar and the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.

During that trip, he called for greater unity among Arab and Muslim nations, proposed the formation of a joint task force, urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and supported renewed efforts toward a two-state solution.
The current visit is expected to further consolidate bilateral ties and deepen strategic cooperation between the two countries.
