Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan and Qatar, on Tuesday, reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen longstanding fraternal ties, as Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a “cordial” telephone conversation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar.
During the conversation, the two leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and underscored their shared resolve to deepen cooperation across multiple domains.
They noted that Pakistan-Qatar relations, rooted in mutual trust, shared values, and close people-to-people contacts, have continued to grow steadily over the years, reflecting a strong spirit of brotherhood and partnership.
PM Shehbaz highlighted the importance Pakistan attaches to its relationship with Qatar and reaffirmed Islamabad’s desire to further expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The discussion reflected both sides’ commitment to enhancing political engagement and maintaining close coordination on regional and international issues.
The leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in the Middle East. Prime Minister Shehbaz appreciated Qatar’s constructive and proactive role in promoting peace, dialogue, and mediation across the region.

He acknowledged Doha’s meaningful efforts to defuse tensions and resolve disputes through diplomatic means, noting that Qatar’s approach has contributed positively to regional stability during challenging times.
The Prime Minister assured the Qatari leadership that Pakistan remains firmly committed to playing a positive and responsible role in support of peace and stability, both within the region and beyond.
He reiterated Pakistan’s belief in dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of conflicts as the most effective means of addressing complex regional challenges.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in turn, conveyed his appreciation for Pakistan’s consistent support and its constructive stance on regional and global issues.
The Amir reaffirmed Qatar’s desire to further strengthen its close ties with Pakistan and to continue working together on issues of shared concern.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of maintaining high-level contacts and close communication to advance common objectives and to further consolidate the strong bond between the two brotherly nations.
They also agreed to remain in close contact in the days ahead, reflecting their shared commitment to sustained engagement and cooperation.
