Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East and regional stability.
During the call, the prime minister expressed deep concern over the escalating crisis in the region.
He strongly condemned Israel’s attack on Iran and the subsequent strikes affecting other Gulf countries, describing them as regrettable developments that risk further destabilizing the region.
The Prime Minister apprised President Erdogan of his recent outreach to the leadership of Gulf countries, reaffirming Pakistan’s full solidarity with them, and conveying its readiness to play a constructive role in efforts aimed at resolving the crisis.

Both sides underscored the importance of maximum restraint by all parties, to prevent further escalation.
The Prime Minister also took President Erdoğan into confidence on the recent developments in the context of Afghanistan.

They agreed to remain in close and frequent contact in this regard while continuing their efforts to bring peace and stability in the region.
