Serbian Foreign Minister met Azerbaijan Foreign Minister in Baku

Baku – 26 July 2021 (TDI):  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selakovic is holding one on one meeting with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov in the capital city, Baku.

Serbia’s Foreign Minister is in Azerbaijan for a two-day visit, where he will meet with the top Azerbaijani officials. The visit will focus on strengthening economic relations and commemorating the 60th anniversary of the first Non-Aligned Movement summit to be held in Belgrade.

During the visit, Serbia’s Foreign Minister-President was received by President Ilam Aliyev. During his meeting with President and declared that Serbia and Azerbaijan had strategic cooperation built on mutual understanding. The Minister spoke on the importance of bolstering cooperation in the agricultural, energy, and construction sectors.

In Baku’s Alley of Honor, Nikola Selakovic also placed a bouquet on the tomb of Heydar Aliyev, the former President of Azerbaijan. The Minister also paid his respects to the dead troops at the Alley of Martyrs inside the Eternal Flame complex.

Serbia and Azerbaijan established their diplomatic ties in August 1997.
