Washington, 3 November 2023 (TDI): United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit the Middle East, and India on Friday to discuss key issues that affect the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific, and the world.
Spokesperson of Department of State Matthew Miller, “Secretary Blinken will travel to Israel, Jordan, the Republic of Korea, and India November 3-10. During the trip, Secretary Blinken will discuss cooperation on critical issues affecting the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific, and the world.”
In Israel, Secretary Blinken will go over again with the defense of Israel narrative as per international humanitarian aid to protect US citizens in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.
He will stress certain critical matters to secure the immediate release of hostages who are stuck in the Gaza Strip. Blinken will discuss key matters regarding the increase in the volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza for distribution to Palestinian civilians.
Secretary Blinken will add in a diplomatic visit to Jordan about the significance of civilian lives. He will share his commitment to providing essential services to civilians in Gaza. Minimizing the conflict is one of the biggest challenges at this stage. He will discuss the quick mechanism to reduce violence from spreading in the region.

In Japan, he will attend the second G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting of 2023. In such a scenario, he will pay thanks to Japan for the successful presidency of G7. The Secretary of State will have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan Kishida Fumio and Foreign Minister Kamikava Yoko to discuss bilateral commitments in order to support Ukraine’s economic recovery and energy needs in the Indo-Pacific.
Additionally, Blinken will then travel to North Korea to meet with President Yoon Suk Yeol and Foreign Minister Park Jin. Both sides will discuss on strategy to counter the global challenges, including the expansion of Russian military aggression over Ukraine, and chaos in the Middle East. Bilateral investment and economic security will be their top agenda of the meeting.
However, Blinken will set to visit to India attend the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue joined by Secretary of Defence Lloyd J. Austin III. Both sides will discuss the global and regional developments to strengthen the bilateral ties. In particular, Minister for External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Minister of Defense Rajnat Singh will be in a meeting with the Secretary.
