Secretary Blinken met Iraqi Foreign Minister

Washington: July 23, 2021 – (TDI):  The Secretary of the United States of America, Antony J. Blinken, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, on US-Iraq Strategic Dialogue’s sidelines. Both the officials reassessed the Strategic Dialogue and reemphasized the Strategic framework Agreement (SFA) fundamentals, agreed upon by both parties. The US Secretary urged the Iraqi Government to carry on working for justice and equity in the state. He appreciated the economic and anti-corruption efforts of reforms in Iraq. Secretary Blinken restated the US’ commitment to supporting the Government of Iraq in the pursuit of a safe, stable, and flourishing future.
