Washington, 18 August 2021 (TDI): The US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken talked to several high officials to discuss the developments in Afghanistan on 16 August 2021. The subject of these conversations was the security of international and Afghan nationals.
These high officials included the Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, and Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. They exchanged views on the evolving security issues as well as the movement of Afghan and international citizens to safe places. Lastly, Blinken appreciated the officials for their collaboration and efforts in Afghanistan.
