Washington, 18 August 2021 (TDI): National Security Advisor to the President of the US, Jake Sullivan clearly indicated in a video that the Taliban will face consequences if they provided Al-Qaeda with any safe haven in Afghanistan.
Jake mentioned that the threat of terrorism against the US still exists in Yemen, Syria, and Libya. The US has shown its potential for fighting terrorism without keeping a huge military mission in various parts of the world including Somalia. He said that the country can prove its military capability in Afghanistan as well. The Taliban will be held accountable for giving safe havens to Al-Qaeda.
