Washington, 24 August 2021 (TDI): The Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony J. Blinken talked with Canadian Foreign Minister Marc Garneau on the situation in Afghanistan, particularly their efforts to transport American and Canadian people to safety and aid Afghans who are in need. Secretary Blinken extended his gratitude to Canada for resettling 20,000 Afghans in need and for continuing to coordinate with international efforts to address the situation in Afghanistan.
