Washington, 7 August 2021(TDI): On Friday, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Japan Foreign Minister Motegi, re-affirmed that the US-Japan alliance is a cornerstone of peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and around the globe.
The Secretary and Minister discussed the ongoing challenges like COVID-19 and climate change and strengthened cooperation to overcome this pandemic. Blinken also thanked Foreign Minister for organizing a safe and secure Olympics in the capital Tokyo.
