ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming praised Pakistan for its exceptional arrangements for the meeting of the SCO heads of government, highlighting the country’s significant contributions to the event’s success.
During a news conference in Islamabad alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Zhang said that the SCO meeting emphasized practical cooperation among member states.
He mentioned that in-depth discussions were held on various areas, including trade, investment, transport, energy, and agriculture.
Zhang announced that the meeting adopted a Concept of Cooperation aimed at fostering a new economic dialogue among SCO member states to enhance trade and economic collaboration.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar remarked that the joint communiqué produced at the meeting is a comprehensive document addressing a wide range of cooperative efforts.
He emphasized that the discussions took place in a traditional SCO atmosphere characterized by goodwill, understanding, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Dar expressed that the meeting renewed the SCO leadership’s commitment to work together, fostering a spirit of cooperation to tackle challenges and create a more sustainable future.
He added that it was an honor for Pakistan to host the SCO heads of government and expressed confidence that the visiting delegates would leave with positive memories of their time in Pakistan.
