Karachi, 19 March 2022 (TDI): On March 19 and 20, 2022, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will host a two-day Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) Mela at Circle Club Faisalabad, according to a statement released on Thursday.

The event is being organized by the SBP in partnership with Banks and the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA). On both days, the Mela will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

This is a huge chance for those who want to learn about housing developments by developers and builders, as well as apply for bank funding. Banks will present information on the MPMG financing facility.

While builders, developers, and real estate brokers will demonstrate the many projects where individuals can use the financing facility to purchase housing units or apartments.

Residents of Faisalabad who wish to buy or build their own home will be able to learn about their eligibility for subsidized housing finance, as well as their monthly installments based on the amount of financing and their monthly income.

They will also be able to apply for bank financing, which may grant an in-principle approval on the spot if the necessary information is presented. The eligibility criteria to avail of this opportunity is first all men/women holding CNIC can apply.

Secondly,  people who do not possess a house and are going to be first-time homeowners can apply. Thirdly, one individual can have a subsidized house finance facility under this scheme only once.

The resident who would join the Mela can also apply for bank financing, which may get an in-principle approval right away. The event would also be streamed live on SBP’s Facebook page, according to the company.

The Mela provides free entry and parking for families, as well as other attractions such as an open draw for valuable prizes, daily live music performances by renowned singers, food vendors, and an activity-packed fun area for kids and young ones.
