New York, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan held talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar as subsidiary to the 76th session of the United Nation General Assembly.
In the meeting, they evaluated their bilateral ties. They talked about the obstacles and hurdles faced in the way of effective cooperation. Both put light on the ways to enhance mutual joint cooperation in all the fields. The officials talked on matters of common concern. Both discussed various regional and international issues.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had cut off all ties with the State of Qatar in 2017 saying that Qatar supports terrorism. Diplomatic ties have been restored between both countries earlier this year.
