Lusail, 22 November 2022 (TDI): One of the biggest World Cup surprises came from Saudi Arabia, who defeated Lionel Messi’s Argentina by 2-1 in Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Saudi Football players Saleh Alshehri and Salem Aldawsari scored goals five minutes early in the second half to give the Saudis their biggest victory.

The game reminded people of the 1990 World Cup when Cameroon defeated reigning champions Argentina 1-0.

The unpredictable Messi opened the scoring for Argentina in his fifth and last World Cup by brushing in a penalty in the 10th minute, putting Argentina on course to break Italy’s 37-match unbeaten record.

Moreover, the 2022 World Cup goalkeeper with the most saves in a single game so far is Saudi Goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais, who made five saves against Argentina.

Despite a vigorous Saudi defense, Argentina was secure before the break. However, the second half of the game saw a significant shift.
