Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) will partner with a number of international partners and organisations under the banner of "Football Unites the World."

Doha, 21 November 2022 (TDI): FIFA has partnered with several international associates and organizations under the banner of “Football Unites the World.”

During the tournament, this will promote and showcase causes like anti-discrimination, sustainability, and education. This advancement is made possible with the assistance of several former and current football icons.

The FIFA President, Gianni Infantino stated that football “unites in hope, unites in joy, unites in passion, unites in love.” “It is such a powerful message that the players, who are living legends, have united for this FIFA campaign, he continued.

In this regard, three United Nations organizations will work with FIFA. These are the World Food Program (WFP), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Additionally, each round of games at the tournament will include different campaigns from FIFA and the organizations. They seek to utilize football’s popularity for positive social impact.

Moreover, these campaigns have taken into account the Member Associations’ feedback. They are dedicated to utilizing football’s influence to bring about change for the better in the world.

“Thanks to football’s widespread appeal. The World Cup is a platform for WHO to spread health awareness to billions of people” according to WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“Football offers a platform to promote health and is a celebration of happiness, hope, and well-being. It shows the advantages of exercise in helping people quit smoking and to improve their mental health.

Additionally, we are pleased to support the idea that discrimination of any type has no place in the world today,” he further added.

Furthermore, Audrey Azoulay, the Director-General of UNESCO said, “everyone on earth has a right to education.” David Beasley, Executive Director of the WFP, continued, “Ending hunger is a crucial goal for WFP.

Make sure the poorest families have access to food as a starting point. Our partnership with FIFA will assist us in gathering the support to ensure that every child has hope for a better future.”
