Riyadh, 16 October 2023 (TDI): Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.
As in a recent show of solidarity, the Kingdom has provided a generous contribution of $2 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The official presentation of this substantial check was made by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef Bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, to the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini.
This funding is part of Saudi Arabia’s scheduled annual contribution, which plays a crucial role in facilitating UNRWA’s mission to provide essential relief services, including food, medicine, and humanitarian assistance, to the Palestinian people.
