Saudi Arabia Approves Additional 10,000 Hajj Quota for Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Saudi Arabia has approved an additional Hajj quota of 10,000 for Pakistan for the year 2025. With this latest addition, a total of 189,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year.

The additional quota is allocated for Pakistani pilgrims who could not register before the deadline.

The announcement was confirmed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, which expressed gratitude to the Saudi administration for its support toward Pakistani Hajj Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an urgent investigation into the decrease in the private Hajj quota, which left thousands of Pakistani pilgrims unable to participate in Hajj 2025.

Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, called to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud with a request for an expansion of Pakistan’s Hajj quota.

The 2025 annual Hajj agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia ensures that Pakistani pilgrims will receive top-quality facilities, including special accommodations in Mina at discounted price.

The additional quota accounts for the growing demand among Pakistani pilgrims, many of whom had been on waiting list or unable to secure a place under the previous quota.

During Hajj, every pilgrim will be provided with a specially designed suitcases, notably featuring the Pakistani flag.

Along with this, a QR code for identification purpose and important information will also be provided to avoid any inconvenience.

The Ministry has advised all applicants to stay updated through official communication channels and has pledged to facilitate all necessary arrangements to make Hajj 2025 a smooth, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience for every Pakistani pilgrim.
