Riyadh, 13 March 2023 (TDI): Deputy Minister for Public Diplomacy of Saudi Arabia, Sara Al-Sayed, receives Dr. Mohamed Ali Boughazi, Ambassador of Algeria to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where they exchnaged views on bilateral relations of two states and strategies to take it further in order to serve common goals.
An earlier Saudi news outlet was informed by the Algerian ambassador that Algeria is eager to strengthen commercial relations with Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to doing all possible to advance the level of cooperation between our two nations.
Mohamed Ali Boughazi said that collaboration between the two nations in fora like the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and OPEC+ showed that the two states’ positions on many political and economic matters are identical.

The diplomat also reaffirmed the commitment of his state for the Saudi’s quest to host Expo 2030. Almost 30 agreements were struck between the two sides, covering a variety of economic fields and establishing an investment firm and a joint business council.
He claimed that it was in Algeria’s best interests to expand economic cooperation. As per newspaper he said, “Our priority now is to work on intensifying mutual visits between investors and businessmen from both countries,”
The envoy stated that the existing level of commerce between the two nations does not accurately represent its actual potential.

According to Boughazi, there is now a new investment legislation with various benefits and facilities for both resident and non-resident investors. He also said that the environment is excellent for Saudi businesspeople to invest in Algeria. Both parties will cooperate to overcome obstacles and carry out sophisticated investment initiatives.
Boughazi emphasised the willingness of his nation to work with new Saudi efforts in the areas of renewable energy and the green economy.
