Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Relations
Pakistan has had friendly ties with Saudi Arabia since the country’s inception in 1947. The two peoples’ interactions are based on centuries of religious, cultural, and commercial ties.
Similarly, the bases of friendship are shared Islamic values. Pakistan is the only state built on Islamic identity, whereas Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of the Prophet (PBUH) and the location of Islam’s two holiest sites.
The Quran and Sunnah are important in both nations’ constitutional frameworks.
