Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs met with his counterpart from Estonia

New York, 22 September 2021 (TDI): Vincent Biruta, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a sideline meeting with Eva-Maria Liimets, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, at the 76th United Nations General Assembly session.

The ministers shared their views on contemporary bilateral and multilateral matters. The primary focus of the meeting remained on digital development and cooperation for growth. Along with it, regional security issues and remedies to overwhelm them were also put on the table.

Concluding the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and her counterpart signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultation between two countries’ foreign ministries.

The meeting culminated on a high note, with efforts to be made to develop the region and counter security threats of the region.
