Kigali, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincent Biruta, delivers his remarks at the 21st meeting of the Commonwealth Foreign Affair Ministers’ Meeting (CFAMM).
The Minister talked about and gained the world’s attention towards various issues faced by the Republic of Rwanda and other East African nations. Delivering his speech, the Minster, first of all, talked about the Covid-19 vaccine equity and its distribution among the East African nations.
Next, Minister Vincent Biruta put forth the issue of economic recovery and suggested measures for collective economic growth in this pandemic era. Along with it, the Minister of Foreign Affairs shared his views on the upcoming Conference of Parties 26 (COP 26).
Ending his speech, the Minister also shared his remarks on the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that was to be held in Rwanda in 2021 but postponed due to Covid-19.
