Minsk, 11 September 2021 (TDI): Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Russia, held a meeting with Roman Golovchenko, Belarusian Prime Minister, for the press.

The meeting aimed at the signing of important areas for the Implementation of the Terms of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State until 2023 and 28 sectoral union programs. Mikhail Mishustin announced the results of the Ministers Council meeting. He said the strategy to improve integration through the 28 union programs has been approved by the council. In most areas of cooperative action, these programs clearly define cooperation. Industry, energy, finance, and the agro-industrial sector are among them. The programs aim to bring our approaches to macroeconomics, tax and customs, and monetary policy in general closer together.

The Belarusian Prime Minister also supported his Russian counterpart’s words. He discussed that the main goal of integration is to raise people’s living conditions through boosting the stable economic development of the two countries. The economy is the most important aspect in the successful development of all other areas of bilateral cooperation.
