Russian Embassy Invites Pakistani Youth to World Youth Festival 2026

Islamabad (TDI): The Russian Embassy in Pakistan has announced that registration for the International Festival of Youth 2026 is now open, inviting Pakistani youth to participate in this global event.

The festival will be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia from 11-17 September 2026, bringing together up to 10,000 young leaders from 190 countries and 2,000 volunteers from 89 Russian regions.

A post on social platform X by the Russian embassy said, “Pakistani youth aged 18 to 35 are invited to apply and take part in this unique global gathering.”

Participants will engage with leading experts through trend-battles, TED-style talks, talk shows, cultural programs, sports sessions and an excursion program.

The event also includes a regional expedition programme across 30 regions of Russia where young people can explore cultural heritage and propose partnership ideas.

Organizers will provide accommodation, meals and transfers for selected participants. The main registration period runs from 5 February to 30 April 2026, with an additional reserve stage from 1 to 31 May 2026. Volunteer registration for those aged 16 and living in Russia is open until 31 March 2026.

Pakistan and Russia enjoy growing cooperation in education, culture and youth development. The festival offers Pakistani youth a platform to connect with global peers, exchange ideas and contribute to international dialogue on key issues.

The event is part of Russia’s “Youth and Children” National Project and the Year of Unity of Peoples declared by President Vladimir Putin. Pakistan has actively participated in previous editions of the festival, strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The International Festival of Youth 2026 continues Russia’s long tradition of hosting large-scale youth gatherings. It aims to create a space where borders are blurred and young people from different countries work together to shape a shared future.
