Russian Deputy Foreign Minister meets Pakistani Ambassador


Moscow, 1 September 2021 (TDI): Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Igor Morgulov received Ambassador of Pakistan to Russia, Shafqat Ali Khan in Moscow, Russia.

The topmost agenda of the meeting included the situation of Afghanistan. Both parties showed mutual interest to strengthen cooperation, primarily through the “Troika Plus Format”. Troika Plus is the grouping of China, Russia, the US, and Pakistan. This intention reaffirmed the aim of Moscow and Islamabad in stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan.

Both Parties highlighted that cooperation must be continued in areas of trade, economy, military, and countering terrorism.
