Borisov, 22 July 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of Russia to Belarus, Boris Gryzlov, visited the city of Borisov on Thursday.
He was accompanied by the chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Turchin, during the visit. The Ambassador visited some of the largest enterprises in the country situated in Borisov and met their heads.
The officials discussed increasing cooperation between Russian enterprises and the private sector of Belarus.

Visit to the Pozhsnab enterprise:
The Pozhsnab enterprise specializes in manufacturing firefighting equipment. Its productions range from fire truck productions to firefighting tools.
During their visit, Boris Gryzlov and Alexander Turchin met the General Director of Pozhsnab LLC, Oleg Derybin. They discussed establishing a joint Russian-Belarusian enterprise for fire equipment production.
The Minsk Regional Executive Committee chairman welcomed the idea of creating a joint company. He explained that they have been thinking of establishing a Belarusian specialized enterprise to help them deal with their business of fire products in Russia.
The Russian Ambassador also supported the idea of a joint company. He said that joint production of modern specialized equipment would help them address the developing needs of customers in domestic markets of both states.
He added that such an enterprise’s products could be in great demand. Furthermore, he said that they could also present the product of the Union State in third-world countries.
The General Director of Pozhsnab, Oleg Deryabin, also assured that Pozhsnab LLC is ready to invest in this joint production.
Boris Gryzlov also praised the fire trucks made in the company. He said that the fire trucks were made with high standards and can help reduce the number of fire teams and increase the efficiency of fire service.
Furthermore, he added that these trucks have a large capacity for modification that can help them operate anywhere easily. He also said that forest fires are increasing nowadays, but with these trucks, one can effectively control them too.
Visit to BATE OJSC:
Borisov Plant of Automotive and Tractor Electrical Equipment (BATE) has been the managing company of Auto components holding since 2011. It manufactures automotive, agriculture, and road equipment.
The Russian Ambassador explained that the company was holding a high level of cooperation with Russian enterprises. They are highly important due to cooperation in terms of raw materials, which account for 50%-60% of production cost.
He further added that Russia is ready to invest in the development of BATE and announced that the company also agreed to their idea.
He concluded that Russia was looking forward to further developing its partnership with the company.
Visit to Brilevskoye Pole memorial:
Concluding his visit to Borisov, the Ambassador visited the Brilevskoye Pole memorial. The monument is a reminiscence of the decisive battle between Russian and Napoleon’s troops.
The Ambassador noted that the place was a great memory of the event when the great army of the French was defeated and they had to leave Russia. He said that 2022 marks the 210th anniversary of this historic event.
