Moscow, 25 August 2021 (TDI): At the Congress of ruling United Party on Tuesday, President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stated that Russia is keeping a close eye on the mercurial situation of Afghanistan but it will not allow its military forces to indulge in the internal conflicts of the country.

President Putin stated that Russia is aware of the alarming situation of Afghanistan and is in contact with its allies in Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for this matter. The President referred to the Afghanistan mayhem as all-against-all-conflict. Also, he affirmed that Russia has learned meaningful lessons from the defeat of the former USSR in Afghanistan.

The Taliban took over the control of the capital of Afghanistan on 15 August 2021 following the withdrawal of US troops from the country. The Taliban have declared a general amnesty and are gearing up to establish an inclusive government in the future Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
