ISLAMABAD (TDI): Russia has agreed to supply modern agricultural machinery as well as equipment to Pakistan for enhancing crop yield and agricultural productivity.
Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Aleksei Gruzdev said this during a meeting in Islamabad with Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research (MNFS&R), Rana Tanveer Hussain.

Both the ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade, particularly in the agricultural sector.
Rana emphasized the urgent need for modern machinery, stating that the Pakistani government is ready to provide necessary support for Russian investors.

In addition to machinery, Gruzdev expressed Russia’s interest in modernizing Pakistan’s fertilizer plants and implementing training programs for local farmers to improve productivity.
