Russia sends Sputnik-V to Turkmenistan

Moscow, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Russia is said to have sent 215,000 doses of Sputnik vaccines to Turkmenistan. According to Russian Direct Investment Fund, the first country from Central Asia to register Sputnik-V against Covid-19 was Turkmenistan. Its Ministry of Health and Medical Industry approved the vaccine. It is said that the vaccine was licensed under the emergency use authorization method. Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Health and Medical Industry approved the vaccine.

Sputnik was the first vaccine registered by any country in August 2020. The Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology created the medication. It is a human adenovirus-based vector vaccination.
