Moscow, 10 January 2023 (TDI): The Russian Federation assessed its 2022 cooperation relations with the International Cooperation within the Framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

 

The year 2022 saw history-making events between Russia and EAEU. On December 9, Bishkek hosted a meeting of the heads of state of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The participants noted that EAEU countries had retained macroeconomic stability and that mutual trade had increased by 12 percent.

During their various meetings and consultations in the year, the heads of state approved new guidelines for the EAEU the year has just begun. The guidelines are set to provide them with a vision and mission.

The EAEU trade and economic ties with foreign partners received a major impetus. Eight international agreements, including some with third countries, were signed this year on the Union’s operation and development, as well as for addressing its goal.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has signed a memorandum on mutual understanding/cooperation with the market has ensured the Russian Federation’s economic development.

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin in his speeches on several occasions has applauded the works and cooperation of the EAEU with Russia.

Despite the challenges the country is currently been faced with the have been several attempts have been made in promoting their relations.

Russia continues to remain one of the best economic partners of the EAEU as far as the 2022 year was concerned. The country’s relations in the energy sector and their trade relations are something wealth emulating.

The officials of EAEU who visited Russia in past have set a standard for the relations they are all currently enjoying. There have been plans made to further strengthen these relations in the coming years.

President Putin continued to express his delight for the support the received from the EAEU in the past year and with the aim to continue with their partnership.
