Bishkek, 10 December 2022 (TDI): The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin joined others at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in Bishkek.
The meeting brought together heads of state, diplomats, and stakeholders as they seek to address the economic issues of Eurasian countries.
In the opening speech, the President of Russia said “first of all I would like to convey the words of gratitude addressed to the President of Kyrgyzstan and thank all our Kyrgyzstan friends for the work they did during the EAEU chairmanship.”
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has been one of the strongest economic blocs among member countries and Kyrgyzstan has played a very great role in its success.
Adding to that, Vladimir Putin applauded the Chairman of the Union for his instrumental role in all aspects of its growth.
He added that during these times of global challenges the Union has actively worked to ensure that there is development among member states.
In this vein, he pointed out that the macroeconomic situations of member countries and certain key economic sectors have developed.

In line with that, he stated that the unemployment rate for the first nine months of 2022 in the EAEC states decreased drastically by 18 percent.
While emphasizing that every country which seeks to grow must work hard around their employment sector which helps to generate revenue and as well grow the economy.
The sector like agriculture was another major improvement to the union. Raising the agricultural sector of member countries to 5.4 percent. The work of the Union to promote peaceful relations and economic stability cannot be left out.
In his closing remarks, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin encourage all the participants to step up with the growth of their economic sectors as they enter into the new year.
Reminding them of their next meeting and the informal meeting of CIS leaders in St Petersburg in the coming days.
It is pertinent to note that, Russia has been of the founding members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and is playing a greater role in its success.
