Gujranwala (TDI): Romanian Ambassador Dr. Dan Stoenescu on Wednesday called on Gujranwala Division Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi to discuss bilateral trade opportunities.
The meeting, also attended by key members of the Pakistan-Romania Business Council (PRBC), focused on enhancing economic relations between the two nations.
The envoy underlined the potential for collaboration between Romanian and Pakistani businesses, especially in the SME sector, given Gujranwala’s status as a hub for small and medium-sized businesses.
Both sides agreed to explore new opportunities for trade and investment, with the PRBC stated it was looking forward to working closely with the Romanian Embassy and the Gujranwala Division administration.

Trade between Pakistan and Romania has gradually developed. Over the years, Romania has expressed interest its presence in South Asia, especially through Pakistan’s strategic location and access to regional markets.
