Iraq: June 22, 2021- (TDI): Mosul is a major city situated in Iraq that is also a cultural heritage site. The city was destroyed in 2017 by the Da’esh and left the city completely devastated and destroyed.
Now, the UAE and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ( UNESCO ) are cooperating and collaborating with the aim of reviving the city of Mosul, the city’s aspiring landmarks, rejuvenation of its cultural heritage as well after the four years of Mosul’s devastation. It will also promote tolerance and coexistence in the region. The UAE and UNESCO together with their combined efforts will rebuild the city of Mosul with the theme “Revive The Spirit Of Mosul” and will also mark it as one of the significant efforts in the rebuilding and renovation of the country’s historical, and cultural sites.
