Islamabad (TDI): On World Soil Day, WWF-Pakistan, in collaboration with the Laudes Foundation, launched the Regenerative Production Landscape Collaborative Pakistan initiative, focusing on sustainable farming practices to combat soil degradation and promote a healthier ecosystem.
Healthy soil is the foundation of life, supporting food production, clean water, and biodiversity.
However, unsustainable farming practices, deforestation, and the adverse effects of climate change are causing severe soil degradation.
This threatens agricultural systems and jeopardizes the livelihoods of millions of farmers globally.
Regenerative agriculture offers hope by prioritizing methods that restore soil health, enhance biodiversity, and improve climate resilience.
This approach not only protects the environment but also strengthens farming communities and supports sustainable food systems.
