Paris, 13 February 2023 (TDI): The Ambassador of State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani attended the Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA).

The forum was organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) at its Paris headquarters.

Approximately 570 delegates from senior executives of international organizations attended the meeting. More than 100 member and non-member states were also present.

In his opening remarks, Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD, stated that the forum would provide a safe space to exchange ideas, gain new insights, and strengthen collaboration in the fight against climate change.

Cormann emphasized that the IFCMA is intended to enhance the global effect of emissions reduction initiatives. It aims to achieve its goal through improved data and information exchange, evidence-based mutual learning, and inclusive multilateral dialogue.

The goal is to catalog, classify, analyze, and evaluate carbon emissions mitigation initiatives to debate their coordination.
