Islamabad, 11 February 2022 (TDI): The Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Senator Shibli Faraz profoundly believes that Pakistani tech startups must be promoted in the mainstream media as well.

While digital media is playing its role effectively, the power of mainstream media can not be sidelined. To put this belief in practical form, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology visited the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) along with Sohail Warraich who is the host of the popular television show “Aik Din Geo ky Sath” on February 10.

Pro-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Commercialisation at NUST, Air Vice Marshal Dr. Rizwan Riaz, and Director NSTP Doctor Salman Raza Naqvi received the guests at NSTP. The park is located in the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad Campus.

Media Coverage of Tech Products

The world today is fast-paced. Each day something new is happening. Particularly technological advancements can be witnessed on a regular basis across the globe.

Talking about Pakistan, specifically, tech companies and startups are also working with full energy and zeal. For their promotion, however, media also has a role to play.

To play the same role of promotion, the team along with Shibli Faraz and Sohail Warraich did the coverage of the tech products of various companies, startups, and tenants who are working at the National Science and Technology Park.

The entire team one by one went to the offices of different companies. In each office, the Minister himself interviewed and asked certain questions from each company/startup.

The founders of the various startups shared their objectives with the Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz, Sohail Warraich, and the team. Crisp, brief demonstrations were also given of the services or products that are being provided by them.

The visiting team recorded the entire visit. The recording will be aired in the next episode of the “Aik Din Geo Kay Sath” TV program. It is pertinent to mention here that some of the startups that will be featured include LearnOBots- an Ed Tech company, Vyro, Hoo Controls Inc, XpertFlow (SUP 21′- Build2), and Zaheen System.

To conclude the visit, Doctor Salman Raza Naqvi, Director NSTP delivered a presentation. It was about the park. The impact of the park on the technology ecosystem in Pakistan was highlighted.
