Prime Minister Imran Khan meeting with ambassador's of Muslim countries.

Islamabad, 4 November 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, met resident ambassadors of Muslim countries. The purpose of meeting was to apprise the envoys regarding cardinal vision and motives for establishment of the Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said Islam is a religion of peace and  the the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is an epitome for all. He remarked that emulating the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is the only way for achieving social welfare and progress. He stressed following the principles of Riysat-Madina, particularly justice, rule of law, and acquisition of knowledge, to embark on a path of true development and success.

Objectives of Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority

Furthermore, during the meeting, the Prime Minister enunciated his major objectives for formation of the Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority. These includes:

  • Developing a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Sunnah through collaborative research.
  • Assisting youth in preserving their Islamic identity in the face of diverse social and digital media influences
  • To coordinate with Muslim scholars across the world. This will facilitate in developing a communication network to discuss challenges faced by the Muslim youth. It also aims at formulating a collective response strategy to modern challenges, particularly Islamophobia.

Imparting Islamic ethics to Youth

Additionally, Prime Minister Imran Khan stressed teaching ethics in schools as per the teachings of Islam. He said this will assist in building the character of youth. He emphasized utilizing print, digital and electronic media for familiarizing youth with the precepts of Islam.

Moreover, the Prime Minister also asked the envoys to share their ideas in this regard. He hoped for active collaboration among Muslim countries, both at the governmental level and interactions through scholars and academicians.

Lastly, the envoys of Muslim countries appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan for this remarkable initiative. They also acclaimed Prime Minister’s vocal support for Muslim Ummah at every forum.
