Maldivian President visited World Travel Market Event

London, 4 November 2021 (TDI): Maldivian President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih visited World Travel Market’s event and Tourism Expo. The event took place in London, United Kingdom. The President was accompanied by Maldivian Minister for Tourism,  Dr. Abdulla Mausoom was also among the delegation.

At the event, President visited the Maldives stand. More than 58 tourism and travel companies of Maldives participated in the event to promote Maldivian tourism. President encouraged all Maldivian participants at the event for promoting Maldivian tourism.

The Maldives is a nation of islands with only 298 kilometers of its dry land. There are more than 1192 islands in the Maldives that attract tourists from all over the world. There are just over half a million people in the Maldives who have their own unique culture and traditions. The Maldives also has one of the most delicate environments anywhere on the planet. Coral reefs are the foundation of the islands of Maldives. They offer protection to the tiny islands as their natural defense system

World Trade Market(WTM) is known as the biggest and important event related to the tourism industry. It is held as a hybrid event this year, with the physical event taking place in Excel London from 1-3 November and a virtual event taking place the week after on 8-9 November. Because of the novel coronavirus, WTM was held virtually in 2020. This year at the event, WTM gave introduced various new ideas, technologies, and solutions. All these ideas, technologies, and solutions can be used by those who run a travel business. They can expand their business by using all these newly emerged ideas and solutions.
