Islamabad, 8 September 2022 (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his generous support to the victims.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Social Development of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced major financial assistance to the flood victims.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan announced to donate 10 million dollars to the flood victims of Pakistan

This is the largest individual donation ever given to Pakistani flood victims

Thanking Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister remarked that this is proof of his selfless love for the Pakistani people and compassion for humanity.

He further added that the Government and people of Pakistan will never forget the help.

Due to this the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of flood victims will get a lot of help.

The Prime Minister concluded on the note that the dignitary’s love for the people of Pakistan is a golden chapter in the history of the brotherly relationship between the two countries.

UAE’s contribution to providing assistance to the victims   

Previously on Wednesday, the UAE also provided urgent aid worth 50 million dirhams to support and assist floods-affected families.

The aid was announced under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense of UAE.

In addition, three planes loaded with tons of food, medical and pharmaceutical supplies, and tents arrived in Karachi.

Before that on Tuesday, the 17th flight of the UAE relief Air Bridge arrived in Islamabad in support of flood victims in Pakistan. The flights were loaded with tonnes of food, medical supplies, and tents to shelter the affected.

Moreover, on Sunday, 4 September, the UAE Embassy in Islamabad launched food package distribution for flood-stricken families, on Sunday, in cooperation with Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment in various parts of Pakistan.
