New Delhi, 11 September 2023 (TDI): On the sidelines of the G20 Summit, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina held a meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman.
The meeting took place on 10 September, in New Delhi to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Saudi Prime Minister assured that Saudi Arabia would work with Bangladesh to enhance cooperation in all possible areas.
Besides that, he expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing investments made by Saudi investors in various projects in Bangladesh, including the Patenga terminal, Payra port, and ACWA Renewable Energy project.
Along with that, he highlighted that nearly 2.8 million Bangladeshis with their utmost efforts are making significant contributions to the economy of Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, he paid his thanks to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for supporting Saudi Arabia as the host of the Riyadh Expo 2023.
He also appreciated the leadership of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in achieving commendable socio-economic development in Bangladesh over the recent years.
The Bangladeshi Prime Minister on her part congratulated Saudi Crown Prince for embarking on and achieving several social reforms in Saudi Arabia and for attaining numerous diplomatic successes in recent times.
Apart from that, she invited the Crown Prince to pay a visit to Bangladesh, to which the Saudi Crown Prince accepted her invitation and expressed his willingness to undertake the visit.

Other Engagements
Besides meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister also met with the UAE President, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, South Korean President, Yoon Suk Yeol & Argentinian President, Alberto Fernandez on the sideline of the G20 Summit.
Furthermore, she also had a bilateral meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on September 8, at the sideline of the G20 Summit to discuss the cooperation in various projects between the two countries.
