Islamabad, 28 August 2023 (TDI): Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan held a meeting with a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament Lord Aamer Sarfraz, and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The meeting, held on Monday, underscored the commitment of both nations to bolster cooperation in various critical sectors.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the paramount importance that Pakistan attaches to its longstanding ties with the United Kingdom.

Reaffirming the importance Pakistan attached to its ties with the U.K., the Prime Minister discussed ways and means to further expand Pakistan-U.K. cooperation in areas of importance, particularly trade, investment, development and people-to-people contacts.
Highlighting the accomplishments of British Pakistanis, who have risen to prominent positions within the British political landscape, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar commended their contributions.
He expressed his optimism for the continued active engagement of the Pakistani diaspora in further elevating the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the U.K. to new heights.
Lord Aamer Sarfraz, in turn, extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for assuming the esteemed office.
