Lahore, 31 May 2023 (TDI): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Welcomes Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik in Lahore
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly greeted the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, during their meeting in Lahore.
The Prime Minister reiterated the significance of the cordial and diverse relations between Pakistan and Belarus, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors such as the economy, agriculture, science and technology, information technology, education, and culture.
Foreign Minister Aleinik conveyed the warm greetings of Belarusian President Lukashenko to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, underscoring Belarus’ recognition of Pakistan’s regional importance and its commendable efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also provided a comprehensive briefing to Foreign Minister Aleinik regarding the human rights violations occurring in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Recognizing the upcoming 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Belarus in 2024, the Prime Minister expressed his delight at the prospect of continued high-level exchanges and engagement between the two nations.
Furthermore, he extended an invitation to the President of Belarus, reaffirming his willingness to welcome him to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
