President Zardari, Uzbek Envoy Discuss Cooperation

Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday formally received the Letter of Credence from Alisher Tukhtaey, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, during a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tukhtaey conveyed warm greetings from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and expressed Uzbekistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan.

He highlighted the historical and cultural connections between the two nations and emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, and regional security.

President Zardari welcomed Ambassador Tukhtaey and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to deepening its relationship with Uzbekistan.
