Beijing/Dushanbe, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China spoke to the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) summit 2021 virtually.
The SCO head of States Summit 2021 took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 17 September. Xi Jinping highlighted that over two decades members of SCO have been inspired by the Shanghai spirit. He also said that the People’s Republic of China is fueled with mutual trust, equality, and benefit and the Shanghai spirit is about respecting the diversity of civilizations and pursuing common progress.

Furthermore, the President of China expressed that SCO has the potential to explore new bases theoretically and practically. Xi Jinping said that the members of SCO can contribute to forming a new kind of International Relations.
President Xi was optimistic about forming a community that shares a common future for mankind. China is one of the founding members of SCO and its very name is inspired by a beautiful Chinese city. China is continuing its legacy of having a constructive role with the Shanghai cooperation organization.
