Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic loss of lives and the damage to the property caused by the earthquake that struck China’s Xizang region.
“My sympathies are with the government, the people of China, and the earthquake victims during this hour of grief,” the president said in a press statement.
“We stand in solidarity with our Chinese brothers and sisters, sharing their sorrow in this difficult time,” he added.

President Asif Ali Zardari also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the earthquake.

In a post on his X handle, the Prime Minister said the entire Pakistani nation is deeply saddened by the tragedy. He said “our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and all those affected.”

He extended his heartfelt condolences to President Xi Jinping and the brotherly people of China for the loss of precious lives in the devastating earthquake in Xizang, China.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and property caused by the devastating earthquake in China.

“We are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that struck the Tibet Autonomous Region this morning,” the deputy PM said in his social media post on X. He said “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy”.

Ishaq Dar prayed for strength and comfort to those affected by the earthquake.
“We stand in solidarity with the people of China and offer our sincerest condolences,” the deputy PM added.
