Islamabad, 23 December 2022 (TDI): President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi received credentials from Ambassadors of Austria, Serbia & the Slovak Republic during the Credentials Ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the Ambassadors made separate calls to the President. The President welcomed the Austrian envoy, Andrea Wicke.

Alvi stated that Austria had a special place in Pakistan’s heart, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.

He explained that Austrian businesses could take advantage of Pakistan’s relatively liberal investment policy and think about investing in the Special Economic Zones being established across the nation.

President Alvi expressed his wishes to Serbian Ambassador Dragan Todorovic that both countries will work hard to improve bilateral economic and commercial ties.

He also highlighted the vast opportunities Pakistan offered for collaboration in the fields of hydropower, communication & advanced and technical education.

While receiving the Slovak Republic’s Ambassador-Designate, Ladislav Ballek, the President expressed hope that the Ambassador-designate will be able to contribute to the expansion of bilateral ties between the two nations.

He expressed happiness that both nations’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs had established a system for Bilateral Political Consultations. It would provide an excellent opportunity to examine the entire relationship and launch new initiatives.
