Nur-Sultan, 26 May 2022 (TDI): The president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Changpeng Zhao, the founder, and CEO of Binance.
The topic of discussion at this meeting was the prospects for long-term cooperation in digital finance between Kazakhstan’s relevant agencies and Binance.

Firstly, they discussed the implementation of joint educational programs in blockchain technologies and the issues of creating a regional hub of the crypto industry in Kazakhstan.
Kazakistan signs MOU with Binance
The conclusion of the meeting was that the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry and Binance signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the presence of President Tokayev
After the signing of the MOU, Binance will assist in the development of the legislative framework and regulatory policies for crypto-assets in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition, the Binance and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan will also create opportunities for the banking infrastructure to integrate.
Under this agreement, the cryptocurrency market and facilitating the development and implementation of distributed ledger technology will get better in Kazakhstan.
The Ministry and Binance will help Astana Hub is attracting local and foreign talent, and also, allow the establishment of a regional blockchain hub.
The founder and CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao stated that Kazakhstan is a world leader in the cryptocurrency mining sector, and in addition, to this mining is legal in the country for the first time, making it one of the first in the world.
Further, he added that he thinks that, in close collaboration with local authorities, Binance can make a significant contribution to the growth of Kazakhstan’s crypto community and blockchain ecosystem.
“Additionally, one of our key aims is to increase crypto usage throughout the world in order to have a good influence on society as a whole,” stated Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder and CEO of Binance.
