Nairobi, 9 September 2021 (TDI): The President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid is on an official visit to Kenya.
The President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid was received by the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Raychelle Omamo at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport along with the Cabinet Secretary for Defense Dr. Monica Juma. The purpose of visiting Kenya is to discuss bilateral consultations along with other important things. This visit is a step forward taken by the President of Estonia to strengthen relations with Kenya. Previously, Estonia participated in international military missions with the activity of global education, development cooperation, and humanitarian support in Uganda, Kenya, and Ghana. Apart from this, there have been working visits to Africa by the Prime Minister of Estonia.
As of now, the President of Estonia expects a high level of consultations with the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. Not only this, meetings are scheduled with the Centre of Excellence of Safaricom and Bolt, and also with the European Union delegation.
