Islamabad, 6 April 2022 (TDI): The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi met the delegation of executive members of the Nazriya Pakistan Council at the President’s Secretariat.
The promotion, protection, and defense of Pakistani ideology should be a top priority for Pakistan’s national institutions, and collective national efforts are needed to accomplish Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of developing Pakistan into a modern Islamic welfare state.
Arif Alvi made these remarks to executive members of Nazriya Pakistan Council (Trust) (NPC) at the Aiwan-e-Sadr (President’s Secretariat) on Tuesday under the leadership of NPC Chairman, Mian Muhammad Javed.
Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Abdullah Yusuf, Executive Secretary Gauhar Zahid Malik, members Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Manzoor Masih, Nargis Nasir, and others made up the NPC delegation.
During the meeting, Chairman NPC, Mian Muhammad Javed, and Executive Secretary, Gauhar Zahid Malik briefed the President on the NPC’s history, operations, goals, and objectives.
The President urged for the distribution of knowledge about the struggle and sacrifices of the Pakistan Movement’s great leaders and heroes in order to teach the younger generation about Pakistan’s ideology.
The President was apprised by NPC Chairman Mian Muhammad Javed that the council (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), which was founded by veteran journalist late Zahid Malik, tries to propagate the message and teachings of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah among the people, particularly the youth.
He said the foundation was hosting debates, seminars, and symposia across the country to raise awareness about the concerns and problems that Pakistan was facing.
Among its numerous positive activities, the NPC frequently recognizes and distributes gold medals to young Pakistanis who excel in disciplines including science, technology, education, philanthropy, Information Technology (IT), health, chivalry, sports, literature, and other disciplines.
In addition, NPC’s annual schedule includes celebrations of Independence Day, National Day, Quaid-e-Azam Day, Kashmir Day, Christmas, and other key festivals, and a great number of people, primarily students, attend these events in big numbers.
Similarly, the NPC raises awareness regarding the plight of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) through a variety of programmes.
The council commemorates Kashmir Day by hosting exhibitions, seminars, and debates at which Kashmiri leaders from both sides of the Line of Control speak.
The President praised the NPC’s efforts to instill a sense of patriotism in the younger generation and to raise awareness of Pakistan’s ideology and national challenges.
The NPC delegation informed the President of the council’s significant administrative and budgetary concerns, requesting that he rectify them by sending directives to the appropriate quarters.
