Istanbul, 18 August 2021 (TDI): On August 16, President Arif Alvi held a meeting with the delegations of leading Turkish companies in Istanbul. President said that Pakistan and Turkey shared huge potential for economic cooperation. He asked the Turkish businessmen to tap from a business-friendly environment.
President added that Turkish investors could invest in sectors such as tourism, finance, industry, I.T., and mining. Moreover, the government had recently taken a number of measures to make the environment friendly to business in Pakistan.
Participating companies included the heads from energy, information technology, electronics, and health sectors. President was also briefed by the members of delegations about their running and next business plans including projects in multiple sectors to attract more foreign investment in Pakistan. They also offered their capabilities and advisory assistance to help Pakistan attract more exports. They also informed him of problems faced by Turkish investors in Pakistan. President told them their issues would soon be fixed.
